House Blocks Bid To Impeach Trump

The House votes to block a bid to impeach President Trump. The impeachment attempt was in response to Trump’s tweets telling four congresswomen to “go back” to where they came from. The House voted to block the resolution by a tally of 332-95, with 137 Democrats in favor of tabling the measure and 95 voting against doing so.

Trump Targets Young Congresswomen in Racially Charged Tweets

In a series of tweets, President Trump tells four minority congresswomen to “go back” to the "crime infested places from which they came.” The tweet sparks fierce backlash from both sides of the aisle, with many calling the president’s comments “racist.” Just one of the targeted lawmakers was born in another country.
